The Annual Fund is the most important fundraising vehicle for the school as it supports the school’s annual operating budget. Because the school receives no operational funding from either the government or the church, the school looks to our extended family of parents, alumni, and friends to cover the difference between the cost of running the school and the income received through tuition. Like other independent schools, between 10-15 percent of the operating budget is covered by gift income.

Your gift to the Annual Fund will help the school retain its outstanding faculty, bring new technology to the classrooms, provide library books and online research subscriptions, provide professional development opportunities for faculty, and support tuition assistance funds for our families. In short, a gift to the Annual Fund ensures that the standard of excellence in teaching and learning is continued at SJND.

Reunion Class Giving
Reunion Year Giving is an important component of the Annual Fund in support of the SJND mission. Class gifts honor the anniversary of a particular graduation year. Individual gifts to the Annual Fund collectively form each class gift and are invaluable to transforming lives of current students and in preparing the next generation with a unique SJND education.

The Saint Joseph Notre Dame Endowment Fund provides tuition assistance, scholarship funds, and support to the operating budget. In 1989 the fund began to grow, thanks to gifts from many individuals. Gifts to the fund provide a perpetual source of income to the school while the principal continues to grow. 

The SJND Endowment Fund marks the commitment of our alumni, family, and friends to the strength of the school. We welcome contributions and pledges of any amount. Named or designated funds may also be established with a gift or pledge of $10,000 or more. SJND assures sound stewardship of every named endowment fund through a memorandum of understanding that expressed the donor’s and the school’s intent. In addition, the school provides each donor of a named-endowment fund with annual reports on fund performance and status.
